Wine Tasting and Bracelet Making Class

When: Fridays and Saturdays through April

Sick of being cooped up this winter? Get out with some friends and try your hand at bracelet making! At Bead Haven, $20 will get you four large samples of Modern Craft Wine and one of four different styles of bracelets to design. Pretzel Rolling at Bavarian Inn

When: Every day at 2:30 p.m.

Where: Bavarian Inn Restaurant

Learn how to create piping hot pretzels just like the Bavarian Inn makes them. Bakers will walk you through the correct pretzel rolling techniques, then it’s your turn to give it a try! Perfect for families to experience together. *Prices and dates subject to change.

 

 

Zehnder’s Snowfest 2019

When: Jan. 23 – 28

Where: Zehnder’s of Frankemuth

Cost: Free

Heralded as one of the top snow-sculpting events in North America, Zehnder’s 28th annual Snowfest is guaranteed fun for everyone. With so many events going on throughout the six days, you may just want to stay for a night or two!

Kids can bring their imagination to life with snow sculpting at the Frankenmuth River Place, or enjoy themselves at the Children’s Play Area with a petting zoo and pony rides.

New to this year’s festivities is Zehnder’s Snowfest All Things Chocolate Recipe Contest. On Jan. 23, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., compete for the best chocolate recipes in three categories: cakes, cookies, and brownies. Enjoy free food samples, door prizes and complementary recipe books located inside Zehnder’s Warming Tent behind Zehnder’s Restaurant.

After a day spent outside, warm up and unwind at the Zehnder’s Snowfest Tap Takeover.

Ten specialty beers will be available from Wolverine State brewery, along with 10 speciality beers from J.P. O’Sullivan Distributing. Enjoy live music by Donny Brown and complimentary hors d’oeuvres starting at 6 p.m. on Jan. 24.

Winterläufe 8K Run and Walk – The Winter Race

When: Feb. 2 at 10 a.m.

Where: Starts behinder Zehnder’s Restaurant with awards ceremony at Bavarian Inn Restaurant

Cost: $35 Race Fee + $3 Sign Up Fee (Price increases to $40 after Jan. 26 at 11:59 p.m.)

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a fierce power walker you’ll enjoy a course that takes you through Frankemuth’s charming countryside and over the historic Gugel Bridge. The Winterläufe is hosted by the Frankenmuth Jaycees, and all proceeds will go toward charitable causes.
