German Wine Dinner

When: March 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Restaurant

Cost: $65 per person. Reservations and prepayment required. 

Menu prepared by Silver Plate Award Winner Chef Phil Fahrenbruch, CEC.

Featuring Bavarian Inn’s Private Label German Wines along with a guest speaker from Great Lakes Wine & Spirits.

 

The Great Taste of Frankenmuth

When: March 12 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

Where: Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth

Cost: $25 per person

Approximately 30 Frankenmuth area food and beverage vendors will serve up their finest dish or drink. Event is held at both Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth and Bavarian Inn Restaurant. For just $25, taste the delightful bites and beverages from over 30 Frankenmuth area vendors. A raffle will also be held.

Tickets are available now from any Frankenmuth Noon Rotarian, Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth, Bavarian Inn Restaurant or at the door.

Proceeds go toward the Frankenmuth Scout Building and the Rotary Helping Hands Fund.

 

St. Paddy’s Day Eve at Michigan on Main

When: March 14 all day, music starting at 7 p.m.

Where: Michigan on Main Bar and Grill located inside the Bavarian Inn Restaurant

Cost: Free

Who is ready for some St. Paddy’s day fun? Dress in your St. Paddy’s attire and get your Irish on all day at Michigan on Main. Green beer, plus Irish food features and special giveaways. Frankenmuth’s own Gemütlichkeit Club will be performing German tunes with an Irish twist later in the evening. 

 

 

Bavarian Easter Celebration

When: March 27 to April 26 

Where: All over Frankenmuth, MI

Cost: Free

The tradition of decorating Easter Fountains in Germany is over 200 years old and many cities and villages in Franconia, Germany, still follow the tradition. Since Franconia is the area from which the early settlers originated, we thought it appropriate to mirror the Osterbrunnen tradition in our city. Frankenmuth festively celebrates Easter with unique and colorful egg displays throughout town.

 

Easter Egg Hunt

When: April 11 at 9 a.m. 

Where: Harvey Kern Community Pavilion at Heritage Park

Cost: Free to attend

Enjoy a day with your family at our Easter Egg Hunt. This special event includes inflatables, prizes, candy, the Easter Bunny makes an appearance to do the Bunny Hop and an Easter Egg Hunt.

 

Easter Buffet 

When: April 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Where: Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Lodge

Bringin’ Back the 80s Festival 

When: April 17 to April 18

Where: Harvey Kern Community Pavilion at Heritage Park

Cost: $15 each for pre-sale. All ages are welcome on Friday but may not be suitable for all ages. Saturday is 21 and over and pre-sale only. Parking is free. 

Bring back totally awesome memories by celebrating the music, trends and events of the 1980’s. Peg your stonewashed jeans, tease your hair, and grab your friends…This is your chance to relive the 1980s! Outrageous Live Cover Bands, Best Dressed Contest, a huge display of 80’s Memorabilia and Video Games, Breakdancing Show and much more.

Frankenmuth Funtown Chowdown Food Truck Festival

When: May 14 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where: Frankenmuth River Place Shops

It’s time for the Funtown Chowdown, Frankenmuth’s 4th Annual Food Truck Festival at Frankenmuth River Place Shops!

The fun takes place the second Thursday of each month – May 14, June 11, July 9, August 13, and September 10. That’s five chances to treat yourself and your family to excellent food, beer, and family fun.

Each festival will feature around 20 food trucks, a live music and beer tent, seating for over 1,000 with a designated handicap parking area, children’s play village, and additional activities for families.

World Expo of Beer

Bringing you the 24th anniversary of the WORLD EXPO OF BEER!! With over 80 breweries and 400+ different beers, this is a can’t miss beer festival to kick off the summer! All proceeds are donated back to area community groups, civic groups, non-profits and volunteer organizations!

Sick of being cooped up? Get out with some friends and try your hand at bracelet making! At Bead Haven, $20 will get you four large samples of Modern Craft Wine and one of four different styles of bracelets to design. Make a night of it and grab dinner downtown, or explore the River Place Shops afterwards.

 

Friday Fun Nights

When: Every Friday between Memorial Day to Labor Day from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where: Frankenmuth’s Main Street

Cost: Free to attend

Main Street comes alive from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. with live music and street performers. Discover talented musicians from around the state as well as some local favorites. Face painting, balloon twisting and magicians, oh my! The lineup changes weekly, so be sure to check the website or our Facebook page for what fun awaits along Main Street. Entertainment is free, but if you happen upon an act you enjoy, consider throwing them a few bucks to keep them coming back!
