A living room water park?
At the Bavarian Inn Lodge, we have what you might call a “living room water park.” Whether it’s to beat the heat on those hot summer days or to relax by the water in the dog days of winter, you can just step out of your hotel room and join the fun in the only living room water park that Michigan has to offer!
Wish you had a water park in your living room? It might be a little hard to fit, but convenient for family fun and entertainment. Would your kids go for a living room water park?
They would probably go for having one all of the time! In fact, they most likely wish they could “waterslide” to school! A living room water park could be impractical at home (and the slide might block access to your bookshelves and refrigerator). So, visit us at Bavarian Inn Lodge instead, where you can enjoy living room type seating mixed with water play and even videogames! Your books won’t get wet!

Our living room water park is only a short walk from the Bavarian Inn Restaurant. Go for a swim and then have a world-class meal! Play some mini-golf and then top the day off with an evening of karaoke. Or, hey, get back in the pool! After all, it’s walking distance from everything, including your room.
Two kinds of waterslides, one Inn
Children absolutely love the water slides. Most could slide all day! Parents and grandparents appreciate it because they can watch while relaxing in a dry, comfortable area. Couples appreciate it because they can enjoy the water slide but then retreat to our adults-only pool or adults-only whirlpool.

Something for everyone
Adjacent to our mini golf course is our pool with a 15-foot waterfall. There is also a toddler play pool for our littlest guests to enjoy with small fun fountains and just 18″ of water.
Spend time with family
You can sit poolside and capture Instagram-worthy pictures of your kids. However, you don’t have to just watch your kids if you don’t want to. You can participate! Get on a tube with your child and enjoy the twists and turns of our water slide! Who knows? You might be asking your kids to go “just one more time”!
Water slides are for couples too!
Water parks aren’t just for kids. Enjoy powering down a water slide on a tube as a couple. It’s an activity made for memories!
“Spill” off benefits
You burn 340 calories per hour leisurely swimming. Have fun with the family and do something good for yourself!
An airy scene
Even if you’re not swimming, it’s a great space to be in. Pull up a chair and play a card game and enjoy the big windows and bustling swimmers. Enjoy the cool murals on the walls.
Dry options for parents and grandparents
Hanging out in a living room water park doesn’t mean you have to get wet if you don’t want to. We have couch areas and lots of sitting areas available throughout the entire fun center so families can congregate outside of their rooms.
All of our water play options are mixed right in with our “dry play” options! Grandma and Grandpa can be sitting comfortable at a table watching the grandkids swim in a nearby pool. It’s a set up that makes everyone comfortable and brings everyone together.
No two pools alike
At our living room water park, once you slide into the pool, stay a while! With four pools, and no two alike, the scenery changes but the fun stays just as wild.

You are right in the center of all the action. Just cross over the wooden covered bridge to over 100 shops and attractions.
Water park features & attractions:
We have four indoor pools and three whirlpools for overnight guests at the Lodge. If you’re looking for some kid-free time, don’t worry! One pool and whirlpool are reserved especially for adults without children. No two pools are alike! Please note the size requirements for our slides:
The Tower Twister Body Slide-Height requirement is 42”.
The Bavarian Blast Tube Slide-Height requirement is 48” or 42″ when riding with an adult.
Pool Hours
Adult-only pool hours:
Monday–Sunday: 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Fun Center Play Pools and Slides hours:
Sunday–Thursday: 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Friday–Saturday: 8 a.m. – 12 a.m.
*Pool areas are closed daily for maintenance from 8 – 8:30 p.m. During inclement weather, pools may be closed until it is once again safe for guests to swim.
Family Fun Center hours:
Sunday–Thursday: 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Friday–Saturday: 8 a.m. – 12 a.m.
Pool rules:
Bavarian Blast
- All riders must have an inner tube
- Guests must be at least 48” in height or 42” with an adult
- 250 lbs. maximum weight for single rider
- 400 lbs. maximum weight for double rider
- Ride in a sitting position, feet first only
- Must have a firm grip with both hands on handles at all times
- Only one person per inner tube opening
- Start only after receiving a signal from the attendant
- Exit the slide runout immediately
- All guests must be in swim suits – no athletic attire, nylon, jean shorts
- Metal fasteners, metal snaps, buttons, buckles, rivets, or zippers are not allowed on swimwear
- Obey Bavarian Inn Lodge slide attendants at all times. Management reserves the right to deny use of slides to guests at any time
- Lost items are retrieved at the earliest convenience by the water safety staff
*This attraction is not recommended for guests who have any physical limitations, impairments, heart conditions, are under doctor’s care or are pregnant.
Tower Twist:
- Only one rider at a time
- Guests must be at least 42” in height
- 250 lbs. maximum weight limit
- Guest should lie back feet first, face up, with legs crossed at the ankles. Hands should be clasped together, fingers locked behind the neck, with arms hugging ears and elbows pointing towards the front, while controlling limbs throughout the course of the ride
- Start only after receiving a signal from the attendant
- Exit the slide runout immediately
- Eye glasses permitted with head strap only
- All guests must be in swim suits – no athletic attire, nylon, jean shorts
- Metal fasteners, metal snaps, buttons, buckles, rivets, or zippers are not allowed on swimwear
- Obey Bavarian Inn Lodge slide attendants at all times
- Management reserves the right to deny use of slides to guests at any time
