We arrived at noon hoping to get a table but the entire restaurant was fully booked, with the first opening available at 1:30pm. So, after visiting the local Frankenmuth historical and Brewery Museums, we arrived promptly on time to find our table was ready for us. The wait was worth it! Between the six of us we enjoyed the Chicken 2 piece mix special with a Sauerkraut side dish, Bavarian combo, Frankenmuth combo and the Vegan Chilli – accompanied by a variety of craft beers and wine. The two vegetarians with us were delighted to find there is a separate vegetarian menu available on request. Overall, everyone was delighted with their main choice and went on to enjoy dessert. The Apfel Kuchen was great but the best by far was the Triple Brownie!

Our server was the best I’ve ever had and she was so sweet, helpful, & attentive. She was so patient, she even helped us with special menu items for our 2 special needs kids with allergies. Having 5 very hungry kids at our table is NEVER easy, yet our server never seemed annoyed as many do. The food was outstanding & we received more than enough of it. We’re pretty sure our 1yo ate her weight in food she liked it all so much. There were quite a few people in line, yet we only waited 5 minutes to be seated. My wife, 2 teenagers & I boggled our minds to find something that wasn’t awesome because this review seemed too perfect. We seriously couldn’t come up with anything. Thanks again to everyone that was working the evening of 1/18/16! An absolutely stellar experience.

“LASTING MEMORIES”
We, three generations now, have returned to The Bavarian Inn annually for 17 Thanksgiving holidays. We have wonderful memories from our visits. Lovely, clean rooms with each room dedicated to the history of local families that helped to settle the area. A variety of pools available for all ages and relaxing hot tubs, too. The younger part of the family happily makes use of the recently installed water slides. We also enjoy the delicious buffet available on the holiday. The staff at the Inn is very friendly and gracious. We have made use of the traditional feel of the Bavarian Inn to make special traditions for our family!
(We have also stayed here each September since 2002 for the Frankenmuth Autofest Classic Car Show / Event…good times!)

“Family Style Makes the Meal so much more of an Experience!”
Service is excellent-patient, helpful, and quick. I think that is a Hallmark of this establishment. Always busy, it seems, but still attentive. Portion is always large, but the most enjoyable aspect are the sides available. They allow, with the family style presentation, greater conversation and interaction, while tasting and comparing each side. That is a really great experience that will make your time here more memorable.

Every time I come back to Michigan, I have to stop here. Every time I stop here, I forget how much food you get with the family meal. The German potato salad is my favorite. You won’t walk away hungry.

“LOVE THIS PLACE!”
Great location! Fabulous options for the kids (and adults). 4 pools, HUGE Gameroom with games for all ages, prize counter. Fantastic food,clean and welcoming.

Every staff member greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly hello. Very attentive to our needs. I even heard that the Grandmother still oversees the kitchen at 94 years old. PURE MICHIGAN at it’s best.

Be sure to visit, you won’t be disappointed!

“GREAT STAY”
This hotel has the friendliest staff of any place I have stayed at in many years. The rooms are very clean, well decorated and large. Excellent food and entertainment provided within the hotel. “Excellent Chicken. Best Ever”
Our family loves to visit the Bavarian Inn whenever we visit Michigan. The chicken is always fresh and severed hot. Can’t compare this lightly breaded chicken to any fast food chain. Dinners there remind me of a great holiday dinner. Must try if you’ve never eaten there. Delightful experience.

If you want to feel special, feel valued, feel relaxed and welcome, Bavarian Inn Lodge is the place to go. A number of pools, game rooms, wter slides, boutique shops are all on site both at the Lodge and at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant. Great for family. Amazing for couples. I’ve organized a large statewide covnvention that was based here: everyone was impressed with the site, the care, the atmosphere, the food, the rooms. Oh, beds are so comfortable too. Can’t reccommend this place enough. It’s our Happy Place!!

The Bavarian Inn Lodge was an excellent choice for our group! Wonderful Staff (Thanks Char, you’re the best), clean, comfy rooms, awesome conference room facilities, incredible game-pool-water slide area, truly everything we needed and then some. Our event was host to youth and chaperons for Youth Implosion 2016 and we could not have stayed at a better hotel. From the first phone call to arrange details, to check out, The Bavarian Inn Lodge staff made our event successful, fun and truly a memorable event! If you are looking for a great get-away for family or for a group, this is the Place To Go!!

“AMAZING ANNIVERSARY”
I have been coming here since I was born, and my parents would come every year since they met. I thought it would be fun to spend a relaxing time and enjoy ourselves at the Bavarian Inn for my anniversary. And I was right! We had an amazing time, as always, and even though this was my first time coming here as an adult, I had just as much fun, if not more. The room was beautiful, the pools were clean, and if you don’t mind being surrounded by children having fun then this place is the perfect hotel for an anniversary getaway!

“OUR GO-TO-PLACE”
My family loves it here and there is always lots to do! They have been doing some modern updates while still keeping some traditional looks. The pools, slides, mini golf and the arcade is one of the best I know. Staff is so friendly and we already have plans to go back in a couple of months!

“Delicious Food, Lovely Atmosphere”
We had delicious food tonight, enjoyed the beautiful paintings on the walls, and found the servers dressed in authentic Bavarian clothing to be so very attentive to our needs and were helpful with offering additional portions of the authentic Bavarian chicken dinner complete with four salads, stollen bread, and potatoes, dressing, noodles and real mashed potatoes to accompany the yummy chicken and healthy veggies.

“VISIT IS INCOMPLETE WITHOUT A CHICKEN DINNER!”
We’ve had lunches and dinners at the Bavarian Inn in the past, but on our most recent visit, the INN helped us host a private dinner party for our family and friends, while celebrating a milestone event. The family-style dinner was enjoyed by all the guests, including small children and aging adults! Multi-courses were served hot, and in a timely manner.) The buttered noodles rank highly, among all ages. Served family-style, no one could go away hungry, as empty bowls and platters were refilled as quickly as they were emptied! The flavor of the chicken is iconic . . . a bit different than you might prepare at home. It’s a flavor that keeps you returning, whenever visiting Frankenmuth.

“ALWAYS A GOOD STAY”
My family and I stay here at least four times a year if not more and it has always been our favorite destination. The staff is always very friendly the rooms are clean and there is enough to do that you don’t have to leave the hotel if you don’t want to. This last trip we waited late to book it and even though they had sold the last room package already they gave us a slightly nicer room at the same rate! The young lady making our reservations made me feel like she truly WANTED us to be able to stay with them, SHE WAS AWESOME!
