The Volksläufe is getting closer and closer according to the race countdown on the website, http://www.volkslaufe.org/. Known more in English as, “The People’s Race”, the Jaycees of Frankenmuth are proud to bring in the 36th Annual running of the Volksläufe.
Sunday, July 3rd, starts the events for the run. Starting at 5:00 PM registration is open including a the Beer Garden, Runners Marketplace and Spaghetti Dinner and Inflatables for Kids. At 7pm there will be live music from “The Bromantics” and “The Shades” and then at approximately 10-10:15 pm (pending sunset) will be the Annual Frankenmuth Fireworks Show!
LET THE RACE BEGIN…….. Monday, July 4th, the real excitement begins. Registration will open from 6-10:30 am. Pancake Breakfast starts at 7 am and the National Anthem at 7:50 am. Starting at 8 am begins the Bronner’s 10K start, 8:10am the Frankenmuth Jaycee’s 20K start, 10 am the Bavarian Inn Restaurant’s 5k run, 10:02 am the Bavarian Inn Restaurant’s 5K walk start and at 11 am begins Jaami’s Jams & Jellies 2k Fun Run.
