Miss Michigan, Katie LaRoche (23-years-old) from Bay City, on her way to running for Miss America, stopped by the Bavarian Inn Lodge to autograph photos this past Saturday. She was happy to visit and talk and even give advise to some of the other young ladies. She spent 2-shifts of approx. 1 hr. each time signing, meeting and talking with people.
Miss Michigan’s main mission is to bring Human Rights awareness in an effort to fight human trafficking. Katie founded a nonprofit organization two years ago called One World, One Future to help make people aware of the problem. “It’s an issue not only in the U.S., but in Michigan,” she said.
